Mount Etna was truly a wonder, offering breathtaking views despite the chilly and windy weather. Be sure to dress warmly, as you’ll want to fully enjoy the experience. With various hiking options available and a delightful spot to grab coffee and a sweet treat, it’s a visit you won’t forget!
Winery Tour and Enchanting Taromina
Discovering the local winery after our volcano visit was a real treat! We enjoyed a delicious lunch and a guided tour that unraveled the fascinating wine-making process, all thanks to the rich soil. Next, we headed to Taormina, a hillside town that truly captures the of charm, with its narrow streets, upscale shops, and ancient ruins—no wonder it was featured in White Lotus! One street in particular stood out to me, adorned with donkey signs, which instantly reminded me of my favorite Christmas song, "Dominik The Christmas Donkey" by Lou Monte.
